Danilo Gallinari has 'significant ankle sprain'

02/07/2012 - Denver, CO (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari has a significant left ankle sprain and is out indefinitely, the team announced Tuesday.
Gallinari suffered the injury in Monday's loss to the Rockets. A CT and MRI on Tuesday revealed a chip fracture in the ankle, which the Nuggets said was from a previous injury that likely occurred prior to the start of Gallinari's professional career.
He will remain in a walking boot for 3-to-5 days and his status remains undetermined at this time.
In his first full season with the Nuggets, Gallinari is averaging a team-high 17.0 points per game.
